Hospitalisation Scheme

A member of our Credit co-operative who is warded in a registered hospital in Singapore may claim an allowance of $20 for each day of hospitalisation up to 30 days per calendar year and a total limit of $10,000 per member for his entire period of membership. The benefit is to assist members meet part of their hospitalisation expenses.

Every fully paid-up member is eligible for the benefit on condition that he:

has at least 6 months’ membership with our co-operative;
should not be in arrears of subscriptions or loan instalment re-payments;
has to make the hospitalisation benefit claim within 90 days from the date of discharge from hospital; and
is below 68 years of age at the time of hospitalisation.

Study Grant

Study grants varying from $100 to $350 are offered to members to help meet their children’s educational expenses. These are offered yearly based on financial need.

Conditions

Members must have at least one year of membership and must not be in arrears of their subscription payment. Members may submit one application per child per year.

In addition to our Credit co-operative, the AUPE also offers study grants. This enables more members to benefit from the awards.
